기존 프로그래밍 직업도 꾸준할 것이지만 2017년에는 새롭게 떠오르는 기술에 필요한 코딩 직업이 있다.

1. Data Scientists & Engineers

데이터 사이언스, 머신 러닝과 빅데이터는 더이상 회사들에게 외계어가 아니다.
Data science, machine learning and Big Data are no longer foreign terms to most companies.

이제 모든 사람들이 충실한 데이터에 기반해서 결정하기를 원한다.
No one wants to be left behind and everyone wants to make sure their decisions are based on solid data.

데이터 사이언티스트와 데이터엔지니어 역할을 하려면, 데이터엔지니어는 기반  구조를 준비하고, 데이터사이언티스트가 수학자와 개발자의 동일한 역할을 수행해, 데이터를 분석해서 기업이 데이터를 기반한 결정에 통찰을 이끌어 낸다.
Cue in the data scientists and engineers. While data engineers prepare the infrastructure, data scientists are equal parts mathematicians and developers, analysing data and extracting insights that help companies make smarter, data-based decisions.

2. Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality Engineer

포켓몬고가 일반 소비자에게 AR 열풍을 일으켰다면, Magic Leap 같은 곳은 미디어, 엔터테인먼트, 교육 등에 대해 고민하는 것에 변화를 가져왔다.

If Pokemon Go brought Augmented Reality (AR) to the mainstream consumer, companies like Magic Leap have been working on developing AR solutions that could soon change the way we think about media, entertainment, education, etc.

이 분야 기술은 아직 표출되지 않았고, 끝이 아닌거 같다.

The applications of this technology, although still unexplored, seem endless.

2016년은 Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, Samsung Gear VR and the HTC Vive가 대중에게 AR 기술을 일반적으로 가져왔고 앞으로 많은 회사들이 접목할 것이다.

2016 has also been the year of Virtual Reality (VR): Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR, Samsung Gear VR and the HTC Vive are bringing this technology to the general public, which will probably mean that more companies will soon adopt it.

3. IoT Software Engineer

2016년은 CIoTO (the Chief IoT Officer)가 탄생한 해이다.  Machina Research 에 따르면 "포춘 500 기업중 하나는 CIoTO를 임명할 것이다"라고 한다.

2016 is the year of the birth of the CIoTO — the Chief IoT Officer. According to Machina Research “at least one Fortune 500 company will appoint a Chief IoT Officer” this year.

2016년에  Vodafone, Starbucks, Zara, IKEA, McDonalds, Mattel 를 포함해서 기업에서 IoT 전략을 갖춘것으로 보인다.

This is understandable, since in 2016 seems like just about every type of company has an IoT strategy, including Vodafone, Starbucks, Zara, IKEA, McDonalds, Mattel, just to name a few.

IoT가 확장하는 중이기 때문에 이 분야를 다룰 소프트웨어 개발자가 필요하다.

As IoT expands, so does the need for software developers who are able to handle the specific challenges of this field.

4. Artificial Intelligence Software developers

데이터사이언스와 IoT 같이 AI는 대학과 Sci-Fi 귀퉁이에서 나와 일반 대중 앞에 등장했다.
Just like data science and IoT, Artificial Intelligence has suddenly been brought out of the dark corners of Academia and Sci-Fi into the general public.

기업들은 이제 이 기술이 상업적인 가치에 놀라고 있고, 같은 시기에 개발자의 진입 장벽이 낮아 졌다: 도움 받을 프레임워크가 자신의 봇을 만들수 있고, 자연어 분석과 개체 인식을 위한 오픈소스 도구를 몇 시간이면 사용할 수 있다.
Companies are just now realizing the commercial value this technology can bring. At the same time, the entry barrier for developers has never been lower: there are frameworks to help you create your own bot, open source tools for natural language analysis and object recognition … what once took years of research now takes a couple of hours.

기업이 전적으로 이 기술을 포용한 이래, AI 개발 직군은 하늘 높이 뛰고 있다.
Once companies fully embrace this technology, AI development positions should sky-rocket.

5. Blockchain Engineer

If you haven’t heard of Blockchain, you’ve probably heard of Bitcoin.
Blockchain is basically the protocol and technology that makes Bitcoin possible.

블록체인은 이제 시작하는 기술으로, 구글 출신 엔지니어가 세운 회사는 은행을 위해 블록체인을 사용한 오퍼레이팅시스템을 만들고 있다.
The potential of this technology is just now beginning to be explored — this year, a former Google engineer launched a company that uses blockchain technology to build a new operating system for banks.

다음 해 부터 금융권 밖에서 여러 응용된 사례가 나올 것 같다.
In the next few years, the applications may expand to fields outside of Finance.
